LET'S HEAR IT FROM WOMAD!
I've just come back from Womad, some adventure, wandering from stage to stage to absorb the sounds. Toumast, Toots and the Maytals, Zawose Family, Serta-Gesar Troupe, Candi Staton, Gnawa Diffusion and Trio Joubran- were all an eclectic and beautiful mix.

TODAY'S POEM
It’s not always easy to stay in the moment
The abstract mind
Seeks constant reassurance
It is not that I seek
Eternal salvation
Just some inner peace

BOOKS OF INTEREST.....

Check out Alberto Villoldo, a medical anthropologist who has a fascinating book called "The Four Insights." Each insight has it's own flavour and journey such as the first insight, explores shedding one's skin like a snake. Releasing oneself from set identity and labels. Insight two draws upon finding a state of infinite grace, Insight three talks about stepping outside of time and creation, healing one's destiny. Insight four explores dreaming your reality, living from your highest form.

ARTISTS LIFE.......

In some songs, I dream them into existence, a meditative state. Then it comes quickly without hesitation. Yet when I begin to question and analyse, the mind can take over and one's natural pool of resources are ignored. I like Julia Cameron's use of the morning pages, letting ideas and thoughts fall onto the page without censorship. I like to sit in the coffee shops and write over a tasty soya hot chocolate!
